When it comes to marketing, it’s definitely important to understand your buying personas in order to increase your sales. So regardless if your team is sitting down to conduct some interviews or do their own research, here are some areas to focus on when looking to build out your personas.

The Basics

These are details such as the persona’s location, gender, age, and so forth.

Everyday Life

What does this persona do for work? Think about what their daily responsibilities and pain points associated with those responsibilities would be, and how they would relate to your product.

Their Wish List

What would likely be this persona’s interests when it comes to your organization’s products? What are the objectives your company could help them reach?

The Weight Class

How heavy is their influence in the decision making process overall?

What Speaks to Them

What types of marketing material would appeal the most to this persona and in what format? This way you can create the most appealing content for them on your company’s site in order to cover your bases.
